Dr. Stephanie Webb Pauley, MAHM, L.Ac. – aka Dr. Steph (she/her/hers)

Dr. Steph is a native West Virginian with deep Appalachian roots who developed her appreciation for nature’s healing wisdom walking among the hills and valleys of her homeland. Her journey has taken her from Florida’s gulf coast to Western North Carolina’s Smoky Mountains, where encountering people with unique stories and perspectives deepened her compassion and curiosity about the human experience.

Her path to Chinese medicine began through personal healing—after exhausting conventional options for a chronic condition, she discovered acupuncture and herbal medicine’s transformative power. Now living free from that illness, she’s made it her mission to walk alongside others seeking healing and renewal.

Dr. Steph had the honor of studying under the Jade Purity tradition at Daoist Traditions College of Chinese Medical Arts with Jeffrey Yuen, 88th generation Daoist priest and internationally renowned educator, alongside other distinguished leaders in Chinese medicine including Dr. Randine Lewis and Dr. Mary Cissy Majebe. She maintains national and state board certifications through NCCAOM and the Kentucky Board of Medical Licensure.

Dr. Steph blends a classical 5-channel system approach with modern research findings to tailor treatments for individual needs. While maintaining a general practice, she has particular passion for gynecology, neurology, dermatology, mental health, and gastroenterology. She offers herbal medicine, nutrition and lifestyle coaching, and incorporates adjunctive therapies including cupping, gua sha, and essential oils.

When not practicing, she enjoys cooking, hiking, and seeking live music with her husband and sassy Basset Hound, Dolly-Dog.
