Happy People Love Happy People

IMG00126-20100426-1356I’d like to consider myself a pretty positive person. People ask me frequently, “Why are you always smiling? How can you be happy ALL the time?” Truth is, I’m not always smiling…and not always happy. But for some reason, when I’m around other people, my entire body feels the need to be happy. To just FEEL good. It’s like an invisible thing (for lack of a better word) that lifts me up and truly desires to bring other people with me. I’ve been trying to figure out why this is. I may not have the full answer, but here is what I got so far.

As crazy as it may sound, our bodies are just meat suits. We are composed of millions of cells that vibrate at different frequencies to compose our specific organs, bodies, etc. And you’ve heard of the expression “like attracts like,” right? Well, our cells are just like that. We are like magnets. Different cells come together to form your internal organs, muscles and bones. And just like our cells pull in different directions to form these totally kick-butt human bodies, we, as humans, are drawn to each other as well. Imagine your

AM/FM radio. Different stations operate on different radio frequencies. You turn the dial to one station, and you get that station. You turn it to another station, and you lose the previous station. In life, we kind of do the same thing. When you are truly in a state of Joy, you tend to see other people in that same state. When you are angry and frustrated, you tend to be attracted to those people as well. Some people will tell me, “Well, now that’s just not true. If I’m frustrated, I call someone to lift my mood. That’s not me attracting the same misery, it’s the opposite.” Well, I have two responses for you. How do you feel when you are mad, and you call someone to lift your mood? Are you then happy? Or are you frustrated because they didn’t tell you what you wanted to hear? When you reach out to someone, that’s you choosing to change the radio station. Now, if you feel better, then you decided to stay on that radio frequency and are now attracting a different mood. However, if you get off the phone with your friend, and are more upset, it’s because you truly didn’t want to change the channel. You are actually wanting to listen to that depressing station and you will keep contacting others (attempting to change the radio channel) until you find someone who is on your frequency. This is what I believe is meant when people talk about the Law of Attraction. I detest feeling like crap. Therefore, when I am with a group of people, (friends, clients, coworkers) no matter how crappy I felt before, something in my body shifts. My body just DOES NOT want to feel like that, nor does it want to be the reason that other people feel crappy. It’s as if my body just changes channels subconsciously, with the desire to uplift those around me. And one of two things happens. You either change your channel to my station and enjoy being in my presence (as I would be in yours) or; you don’t – and it will be a miserable experience for both of us. We are creatures of habit. Most of us listen to the same music, the same radio station, eat the same foods, etc. The more you stay on one station, the harder it is to leave. I guess this is what is happening to me. I truly love being happy and smiling incessantly. The more I stay on this Happy Station, the more my body wants to be there and will provide me ways to get back. So, who do you want to be? What station do you want to be on? For me, the happy thing works much better…

Relationships are the same way. When two people are on the same frequency, you tend to get along great. The moment one of you changes, that’s when disagreements begin to occur. The phrase “you just don’t get it” or “you don’t understand me” starts to pop out of your mouth. Hmmmm…buts that’s another topic for another day.

So, Send us some pics of you smiling and Happy….or post them on our Facebook Page!
